He finally did contrast with conservative ideas that failed. On economy, on jobs, on Wall Street, on energy. Gloves not off, but at least mixing it up.
Striking, however, that he didn’t use the riff to turn back to jobs and the need for action on jobs now.
Blue dogs in Congress in hari kari mode, voting against even paid for program to save teachers. The “pay for” some say should be used to reduce deficit, not save jobs of teachers.
This is truly nuts. 13 thousand private sector jobs generated last month. Deep state and local cuts coming. Consumer confidence collapsing. Weak Euro and global austerity undermining exports. Companies reluctant to hire or expand. Congress better wake up fast or we are back in double dip recession — and everything gets much harder.
